Title or Location: Aftermath
Another Dartmoor scene not far from home. A lovely walk on a late summer?s day up through the woods following the course of the river as it tumbles down to the sea. There is a panel explaining that these massive boulders were carried down by a flash flood a while back, hence my title Aftermath. It would have been quite terrifying to see that I imagine. This painting sold at an RNLI fundraiser last summer.

Title or Location: Journey to Bethlehem
I am beginning my journey as a prophetic artist and wanted to paint a collection to illustrate the story of Jesus? birth. In this painting I used acrylics to portray the lengthy journey Mary and Joseph took on a humble donkey with Mary in the late and vulnerable stages of pregnancy. I like to stir peoples emotions and prompt people to think from a different perspective when it comes to well known Bible stories.

I have always started my images with a thought or idea and no more. My work comes to and through me, and things shift in my life when I allow this to happen. My work is a reflection of my current mood and desires expressed via mixed media. I am a Regd Art Therapist and Creative Coach/ Mentor, and my belief is that we are all creative beings who think in images and through our imagination we create the lives we have. Images speak to us, awaken us, challenge us and ultimately help us. Creatively

Title or Location: Winter snow
As we had the arrival of snow this week I thought it would be perfect to create a nice winter scene, this one came out of my mind rather than a reference photo, so it?s of no particular place other than some music, a paintbrush and a blank canvas. I actually only learnt to paint during lockdown so it?s always really cool when I see the finished product and it looks pretty good.

I painted this recently from a photo I took during a Friends Weekend several years ago. We stopped our bicycles on the bridge and snapped a few photos. The icy cold water was a brilliant blue from the mineral content. The Pine River flows into Vallecito Lake near Bayfield and Durango.
